Shooting Tibetan Monks
In between changing diapers and rocking her to sleep, I sometimes manage to sneak out of the house for a couple of hours! Usually I head to Boudha if I don’t have anything special to do. Great place for walking around with the camera! So this is turning into a little project, I suppose. Taking photos of Tibetan monks. What do they do all day? How are they getting by, living in exile for 50 years now? And those small boy-monks, don’t they miss their parents? Here’s a couple of shots I took yesterday. As soon as I took out my camera, it started raining cats and dogs. But I got a couple of shots before I ran into my friend Steve and we dugged into a little place for a cup of tea etc.
(We’ve gotten a lot of rain the last week, it’s so great. It means water in our taps again, electricity in the plugs. Wow!)
PS: Sorry for the headline, I’ve not gone over to the other side. Just shooting frames, no bullets!

Young monks finishing up their rice in a Boudha diner (Shot on 6400 ASA, it will be grainy if you blow it up on a double page spread, but actually not too bad!)
